At the Society of Women Engineers Annual Conference (WE23), I was presented with the Emerging Engineering Educator award.  I am honored to be recognized for outstanding service in technical and professional societies, including SWE. 

The award also recognizes Dr. Reck’s continuing dedication to SWE’s mission – striving to highlight the impact and importance of women in engineering across the globe, leading by example, and demonstrating that a career in engineering can be a fulfilling, rewarding pursuit for women of any background.

"SWE Awards provide a platform to elevate and highlight career, academic, and service achievements of engineers and technologists that advance the mission of SWE through inspiring others,” said Alexis McKittrick, Ph.D. and FY24 President of SWE. “These award winners are shining examples for our members and the entire engineering community of how to Live Without Limits, and I look forward to celebrating their achievements at our WE23 conference in Los Angeles."
